CeuticalSoft developers have extensive experience in the laboratory giving us a decided advantage over generic software development firms. Our Software Engineering capabilites have been specifically matured through direct experience designing and building solutions for Life Science laboratories. We have an intimate knowledge of laboratory processes, instrumentation and robotics and can draw on a vast code base developed around these technologies. CeuticalSoft has an established track record with numerous projects for Pharma and Biotech research labs, instrument makers and technology suppliers in the Life Science industry making us the top choice for scientific software engineering solutions.
CeuticalSoft engineers have many years of experience working in the Drug Discovery domain. This includes hands-on laboratory work in assay development, analytical chemistry, high throughput screening and compound administration. In addition to direct experience in the lab our Engineers have extensive experience developing and deploying software for Drug Discovery laboratories.
A list of specific domain experience is as follows:
Laboratory Robotics, Analytical Chemistry, GMP/GLP, Assay Development, High Throughput Screening, High Content Screening, Computational Chemistry, Compound Administration, Genomics, Expression Profiling, Natural Product Chemistry, Instrumentation R & D, Biologics Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Human Resources.
Cloud Services: Google Apps, Amazon (EC2, SimpleDB, S3)
CeuticalSoft also has extensive experience with many proprietary technologies related to specific robotic, instrumentation and liquid handling platforms.
CeuticalSoft offers a wide variety of engagement models to accomodate client priorities and complement client in-house capabilites. For small scale projects requirements can be established by conference calls and electronic materials transfer. For larger scale projects or high complexity projects, CeuticalSoft Scientists and Engineers participate in meetings on the client's premises. Available engagement models include:
Ongoing consulting contract. A standard consulting contract is executed with the client and work is done on an as-needed basis. Consumed consulting hours are billed on a monthly basis. CeuticalSoft offers scalable pricing depending on the complexity of the project and the relevant technologies.
Project based quotes and billing. CeuticalSoft can establish a fixed price for some projects provided there is a well defined specification.
Dedicated resource. Often the most cost effective approaches for long term projects is to commit to dedicated Full Time Equivalents (FTE's). This involves working with CeuticalSoft project managers and programmers in our US office or in our India office that are dedicated to your project. CeuticalSoft can quickly ramp up personnel to accomodate labor intensive software projects.
On site contracting. CeuticalSoft can provide contractors to work at a client's facility for any IT related project.
CeuticalSoft works closely with client companies to evaluate relevant processes, instrumentation, robotics, databases and third party software applications that will be impacted by proposed software development projects. This information is used to develop an initial specification and then a protoype. The protype is then developed into a pilot application through an iterative process of incremental development and testing.
Discovery IT Productivity Measures
Our primary focus is enhancing productivity in the laboratory. This means having a direct impact on the work load of laboratory personnel, managing and publishing data for the benefit of the intended audience and integrating and enhancing existing technology investments. CeuticalSoft efforts are guided by several productivity measures:
Discovery IT efficiency
A program of continuous improvement to reduce Scientists information processing time.
Database driven assay request, data analysis and reporting system for an assay service lab. Assay request forms are processed and converted to plate registration and well assignments. The assay data is then processed and reported in a standard reporting format and delivered to the requester. This project includes cradle to grave database capture of the entire process.
Legacy Data Recovery
Large scale legacy data analysis, recovery and conversion. This project involved the authoring and deployment of several custom search and conversion algorithms. Extremely large collections (> million) of assay data files including image, video and text were collated processed and consolidated into databases. This work has resulted in a dramatic increase of utility for a large collection of legacy assay data.
